Sarah Elizabeth was born on March 3rd, 1862 in Sumpter Co., Alabama.1 Sarah Elizabeth's father was Benjamin Bagley Prestridge and her mother was Sarah Adline Williams. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph N. Prestridge and Elizabeth D. Bagley. She had four brothers and a sister, named George Harris, Benjamine Babley, Jr., Charles Henry, Joseph Gideon and Nancy Ann. She is the third youngest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named James Burton, William Ashmund and Ellen Jane.-
