Martha M. was born on March 8th, 1851.1 Martha M.'s father was James Madison Prestridge and her mother was Emily S. Ezell. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph N. Prestridge and Elizabeth D. Bagley. She had two brothers and five sisters, named William A., Joseph Benjamin, Milissa Jane, Elizabeth Ann, Matilda Emaline, May Louise and Emily Ellen. She is the second youngest of the eight children.-
