Malissa Mozell was born on March 22nd, 1825.1 Malissa Mozell's father was Joseph N. Prestridge and her mother was Elizabeth D. Bagley. Her paternal grandfather was John, Jr. Prestridge and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Waters. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named James Madison, Benjamin Bagley, Burton Rucker, Martin Armond, Timeon Howel, Joseph Jackson, George Hopper, Jensey Elenor and Elizabeth Jane. She is the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
