John Bunyan Prestridge 
John Bunyan was born on November 11th, 1898 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 John Bunyan's father was John Fenley Prestridge and his mother was Maude Catherine Merritt. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Benjamin Prestridge and Sarah Almeida Fenley. He had two sisters named Clara Maude and Ruth Irene. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 56 on February 9th, 1955 in Paris, Arkansas. He was buried in Alvarado, Texas.1 1 General Notes

John Bunyon Prestridge enlisted in the U.S. Army when he was 16 yea

me of 33 years.
As research continues, John Bunyon apparantly married several time
s, wi th later wives not aware of thh earlier wives.
