Essie Floy Mize 
Essie Floy was born on January 13th, 1902 in Peggs, Indian Territory, Cherokee Co., Oklahoma.1 Essie Floy's father was George B. McCellan Mize and her mother was Rosa Essafern Reynolds. Her paternal grandfather was Logan Mize and her paternal grandmother is Eliza Ann Ping. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Walter Leroy, William Franklin, Homer Martin, Sherman, Jessie Floyd, Ina Mirtle, Altie Pearl and Nellie Beulah. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 81 on July 26th, 1983 in Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma. She was buried in Bixby, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.1 1 General Notes
