Mary Lavina was born in 1844 in San Felipe, Austin Co., Texas.1 Mary Lavina's father was Archibald T. McCorcle and her mother was Carolina Eliza Matilda Cook Allen. Her maternal grandparents were Martin C. Allen and Elizabeth Vice. She had four brothers and a sister, named Henry T., James A., Whipple Wesson, Dr., William Wade Hudgins and Anne E.. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 49 in 1893 in Belton, Bell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
