Alton McCaleb 
Alton was born on September 10th, 1825 in Hickman Co., Tennessee.1 Alton's father was James, Jr. McCaleb and his mother was Sally Meriman Harrington. His maternal grandparents were Philemon Harrington and Francis Fanny Harman. He had a brother and a sister, named John M. and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 69 on August 15th, 1895 in Hickman Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
