Esther Ray Marbut 
Esther Ray was born on October 4th, 1909 in Covington, Hill Co., Texas.1 Esther Ray's father was Debe William Marbut and her mother is Rebecca Elizabeth Mae Tribble. Her paternal grandparents were Phillip Henry Marbut and Martha Ann Bassham. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert E. Lee, Philip Henry, Carl, Elizabeth Mae and Debooth C.. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 81 on August 19th, 1991 in Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas.1 General Notes
