Debe William Marbut 
Debe William was born on April 4th, 1877 in Near Pulaski, Giles Co., Tennessee.1 Debe William's father was Phillip Henry Marbut and his mother was Martha Ann Bassham. His maternal grandparents were Levi Sampson Bassham and Sarah Smith. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James Wesley, Harry, John Nellie Blye, Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Amby. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 35 on June 3rd, 1912 in Covington, Hill Co., Texas.1 General Notes
