Artie Mae Marbut 
Artie Mae was born on November 27th, 1904 in Covington, Hill Co., Texas.1 Artie Mae's father was James Wesley Marbut and her mother was Effie Mae Pendergraft. Her paternal grandparents were Phillip Henry Marbut and Martha Ann Bassham. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James Ray, Ollie Bell, Joe Roy, John Drue, Faye Elizabeth and Ruby Jeanette. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 71 on March 26th, 1976 in Cleburne, Johnson Co., Texas.1 General Notes
