Opal Lee was born on April 14th, 1914 in Gunn, Crosscut Co., Texas.1 Opal Lee's father was Robert Shelton Liverett and her mother was May Louise Curry. Her maternal grandparents were Willie Overton Curry and Martha Ann Manning. She had a brother and three sisters, named Robert Curry, Artie Anna, Reba May and Ruby Faye. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 74 on January 27th, 1989 in Lubbock Co., texas.1 General Notes
