Martha Lazell was born on December 12th, 1870 in Scott Co. , Mississippi.1 Martha Lazell's father was Alvia Wiggin Keahey and her mother was Martha Sarah Smith. Her paternal grandparents were John Robert Jackson Keahey and Martha Slay. She had a brother and a sister, named Alvia Barnett and Appielonia Beatrice. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 92 on October 12th, 1963 in Fort Stockton, Texas. She was buried in East Hill Cemetery, Pecos Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
