Mable Frances was born on June 12th, 1916 in Garnet, Lincoln Co., Arkansas.1 Mable Frances' father was Pleasant Francis Keahey and her mother was Carrie Smith Thornton. Her paternal grandparents were William A. Byrum Keahey and Isadora McGraw. She had a brother and a sister, named Joe Judson and Ollie Virginia. She was the second oldest of the three children.
