John Durant Johnston 
John Durant was born on October 29th, 1870.1 John Durant's father is William Stephen Johnston and his mother was Hannah Jane Durant. His paternal grandparents are William Patrick Johnson and Sarah McGehee; his maternal grandparents were Bethel,2nd Durant and Sarah Ann Rebecca Graham. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward Bethel, William Stephen,Jr., Wood, Sarah Ann, Mary Virginia, Emma, Rosabel and Lillie. He is the oldest of the nine children.General Notes
