Joseph Jolette was born on January 15th, 1908 in Eastland Co., Near Okra, Texas.1 Joseph Jolette's father was John Bascom Johnson and his mother was Alice Clementine (Tiny) Basham. His paternal grandparents are Jefferson Roman Johnson and Mary Jane Pearce; his maternal grandparents were Joseph P. Basham and Mary Jane Morris. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named O. A. Montgomery, Fredrick Clinton, Thomas Alvin, J. C., Dossie, Living, Sibyl Ruth, Velma Velette, Runney Lenis, Iola Lucille, Baby (Twin), Living and Living. He died at the age of 84 on June 7th, 1992 in Eastland, Eastland Co., Texas. He was buried in Murray Cemetery near Carbon, Eastland Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
