William Jackman learned the tanning trade in Versailles, KY and ca
me to Ba rren Co. in 1830, where he had a tannery. He united with MT. Tab
or Bapti st church in 1840, was a deacon in 1846. He donated the land whe
re MT. Tab or Church (Baptist) is built. William & Leah are buried near t

‌William T. and Elizabeth Leah were married in a religious ceremony on November 10th, 1834.1 They had a son named William Woodson.
