DALLAS – Dora Kate Ledford died Wednesday. Funeral services are at 1:
30 p .m. Saturday at Restland Wildwood Chapel with burial in Restland Memo
ri al Park.
The daughter of Idus Clay Hudson and Katie Ble Knighton Hudson, she w
as b orn Aug. 3, 1914, in Greenville. She was married for 59 years to T.
J. Led ford. She was (sic) owned and operated the Sunset Bakery in Oak C
li ff in the 1950’s.
Mrs. Ledford was secretary/bookkeeper for R.W. Grace Co. for many ye
ar s. She and her husband owned and operated Ledford’s Antiques and Furni
tu re in Garland until the fall of 1998.
Mrs. Ledford is survived by children Michael Ray Ledford of Rockwa
ll a nd Charles Dennis Ledford of Arlington, grandchildren Gayle McMaho
n, Tam my Poe, Kris Brown, Michael Ledford and Charles Ledford II and s
ix great-g randchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death May 29, 1995.
Dora Kate and T. J. were married in a religious ceremony on January 4th, 1936 in Hunt Co., Texas.1 They had two sons named Living and Living.
