Viona Hicks 
Viona was born in September 1883 in Kentucky.1 Viona's father was James L. Hicks and her mother was Charity Marguerite Basham. Her paternal grandparents are Daniel A., Jr. Hicks and Mary Ann Liesure; her maternal grandparents were Eli Houston Basham and Nancy Melvina Fitzeleanor McCoy. She has a brother and seven sisters, named Ira Lee, Ida Belle, Mattie Bell, Mirtie E., Dora, Dena, Provie and Adelia. She is the oldest of the nine children.General Notes
