Ida Belle Hicks 
Ida Belle was born in May 1886 in Kentucky.1 Ida Belle's father was James L. Hicks and her mother was Charity Marguerite Basham. Her paternal grandparents are Daniel A., Jr. Hicks and Mary Ann Liesure; her maternal grandparents were Eli Houston Basham and Nancy Melvina Fitzeleanor McCoy. She has a brother and seven sisters, named Ira Lee, Viona, Mattie Bell, Mirtie E., Dora, Dena, Provie and Adelia. She is the second oldest of the nine children.General Notes
