William Harman Harrington 
William Harman was born on August 5th, 1782 in Chatam Co., North Carolina.1 William Harman's father was Philemon Harrington and his mother was Francis Fanny Harman. His paternal grandparents were Charles Harrington and Agnes Hill; his maternal grandparents are Zachariah Harman and Rebekah Petty. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Drury, Demsey, Robert, Nancy, Larany Susanna, Mary Polly, Elizabeth and Sally Meriman. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on March 12th, 1862 in Hickman Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
