William Hale 
William was born in September 1896 in Halletsvile, Lavaca Co., Texas.1 William's father was Morehouse Latting Hale and his mother was Eliza Johnston. His maternal grandparents were William E. Johnston and Elizabeth Miles Allen. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Iva Chester, Arthur Leonard, Leslie Johnston, Nellie Gertrude, Geraldine Elizabeth and Marguerite Estell. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died in Califorina.1 General Notes
