Mary Elizabeth was born on August 18th, 1888 in Hartsville, Austin, TX.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was Peter Lloyd Habermacher and her mother was Susan Penelope Allen. Her maternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Miles Allen, Casper James, Herman Gale, Peter Lloyd, Clintie May and Susan Catherine. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
