Lawrence Earl, Sr. was born on March 11th, 1895 in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas.1 Lawrence Earl, Sr.'s father was Charles Frederick Giles and his mother was Anna May Belle Major. His paternal grandparents were William H., Sr. Giles and Mary Jane Tracy; his maternal grandparents were Hezekiah Ford Major and Josephine Conner. He had a brother and four sisters, named Baby Boy, Grace Lee, Iva Lillian, Addie Ethel and Thelma Esther. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 82 on October 16th, 1977 in Phoenix, Maricopa Co., Arizona. He was buried on October 19th, 1977 in Malakoff, Texas.1 1 General Notes
