Lucian Allston was born on February 5th, 1842 in Georgia.1 Lucian Allston's father was William Bacot Gause and his mother was Piercy Peurifoy. His paternal grandparents were William, Jr. Gause and Elizabeth Bacot; his maternal grandparents were William Peurifoy and Mary Brothers. He had four brothers and a sister, named Benson Kennedy, Emory Purefoy, MacCarroll Bangs, Olen Bacot and Francis. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas Frink, John William, Wesley Coke Asbury, Samuel Peter, William Fletcher, Elizabeth and Mary.-
