Billie Colette was born on June 15th, 1927 in Colorado City, Mitchell Co., Texas.1 Billie Colette's father was Benjamin 'Harper' Gary and her mother is Willie Belle Bassham. Her paternal grandparents are Jeremiah Deason Gary and Kate Evelyn Houston; her maternal grandparents were Henry Lansford Bassham and Fannie 'Ida' Pettitt. She had two brothers and a sister, named Living, Living and Living. She died at the age of 73 in 2000 in Brenham, Texas.1 General Notes
