Roy Felix was born on May 23rd, 1895 in Coryell, Co., Texas.1 Roy Felix's father was Jesse Yell Everett and his mother was Lucy Jane Manning. His maternal grandparents were James Duncan Manning and Martha Jane Graham. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Harvey Ewell, Walter Dewey, James Naymon, William Travis, Glenn Manning, Verba and Flossie Beulah. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
