Hala Engle

Hala was born in May 1895 in Kentucky.¹ Hala's father is Henry,Jr. Engle and her mother is Polly Ann Combs. Her paternal grandfather is Henry Engle and her paternal grandmother was Leanna Grigsby; her maternal grandparents are Jackson C. Combs and Mary Young. She has three brothers and three sisters, named William, Jason, Harvey, Angeline, Mary A. and Armelda. She is the third youngest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Malando.
