Claire Claiborne Deming 
Claire Claiborne was born on October 18th, 1878.1 Claire Claiborne's father was Hubert Vilender Deming and his mother was Susan H. Wigle. His paternal grandfather was Jonathan Deming and his paternal grandmother is Lois Whitney Rogers; his maternal grandparents were Windle Wigle and Hannah Hairsine. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Stark Windle, Orville Gurney, Eli Rogers, Hubert Vilender, Jr., Grant Wilson, Barton Roy, Lois Hannah, Nora Irene and Mille Eveline. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 70 on April 14th, 1949.1 General Notes

After a week at Magruder hospital, Mr. Claire C. Deming passed quiet
ly aw ay on Thursday April 14th after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Dem
