Thomas J. DeSpain 
Thomas J. was born on June 11th, 1854 in Iowa.1 Thomas J.'s father was William Marshall DeSpain and his mother was Mary Jane Richy. His paternal grandfather was John M. DeSpain and his paternal grandmother is Lydia Howell. He had ten half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named James Simpson, Isaac Newton, William M., George Marshall, Marian Franklin, Peter, Jeremiah, Theodore S., Joseph, Ray, Presciellen, Indiabell, Glendora, Rachel, Annie, May, Nellie and Laura Blanch. He died at the age of 63 in 1917 in West Burlington, Iowa.1 General Notes
