Nancy DeSpain 
Nancy was born in 1819 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Nancy's father was Peter DeSpain and her mother was Nancy Skaggs. Her paternal grandfather was John DeSpain and her paternal grandmother is Susan Scott; her maternal grandfather was Henry Skaggs and her maternal grandmother is Mary Thompson. She had thirteen brothers and three sisters, named John M., Hiram, William Marshall, Stephen, Mark, James Simpson, Harrison, Silas, William Joseph, Thomas, Andrew Drury, Edmund, George Washington, Susanna Elizabeth, Mary and Lucy Ann. She had a half-brother named William Perry. She died at the age of 56 in 1875.1 General Notes
