Leroy Elmer DeSpain 
Leroy Elmer was born on April 28th, 1897 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 Leroy Elmer's father was Lewis DeSpain and his mother was Flora Ann Warren. His paternal grandfather was Joseph DeSpain and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Morrison; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Warren and Lucetta Grundy Sutherland. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Fred H., Joseph Everett, Creed Omer, Rual Herman, William O., Nora Ethel, Ada, Sally Ada and Gatha G.. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 88 on July 18th, 1985 in Hodgenville, LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
