Alfred Harrison was born on December 12th, 1896 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Alfred Harrison's father was John William DeSpain and his mother was Melissa J. Morgan. His paternal grandparents were William Perry DeSpain and Mary Elizabeth Warren. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Ernest Franklin, John William Thomas, Alvin, Samuel, Lee, Henry George, Luther Herman, Mattie L. and Elizabeth Ellen. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 61 on September 15th, 1958 in Kentucky.
