Spencer Combs

Spencer was born in June 1898 in Perry Co., Kentucky.¹ Spencer's father was Jeremiah Combs and his mother is Rosanna Engle. His paternal grandparents are Jackson C. Combs and Mary Young; his maternal grandfather is Henry Engle and his maternal grandmother was Leanna Grigsby. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Cleveland, Fielden, Perry Lee, F., Nancy, Rachel and Benjamin. He is the youngest of the eight children.
