Jacob, Sr. was born on May 6th, 1739 in Culpeper Co., Virginia.1 Jacob, Sr.'s father is Jeremiah Cleveland and his mother is Wife Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Alexander, Jr. Cleveland and Alexander's Wife Unknown. He had a brother named Reuben. He was the older of the two children.
