Oliver Gilmer was born in 1893 in Texas.1 Oliver Gilmer's father was Oliver Green Cannon and his mother was Winifred Margaret Allen. His paternal grandparents are Henry Cannon and Elizabeth Duncan; his maternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Willie Green, James Henry, Henry, William Strauss, Rosey Lee, Nettie, Winnie Edna and May D.. He died at the age of 70 on October 20th, 1963 in Bellville, Austin, TX.1 General Notes
