Johnie Henry was born on February 26th, 1915 in Oklahoma.1 Johnie Henry's father was Thomas L. Burton and his mother was Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Gaines. His paternal grandparents were John P. Burton and Melinda M. Bassham. He had a half-brother named George. He died at the age of 59 on March 6th, 1974 in Baylor Hospital, Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas.
