Bessie Church was born on November 6th, 1864 in Pittsburg, Allegheny Co., Pensylvannia.1 Bessie Church's father was William S. Brooks and her mother was Hadessa Means. Her paternal grandparents are Richard Brooks and Rachel Davis; her maternal grandparents were Ralph Benjamin Means and Hadessa Nancy Whitsett. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William Means, William Irwin, Unknown Child and Daisy T.. She died at the age of 47 on November 30th, 1911 in Picabo, Idaho.1 General Notes
