Susan was 1/2 Choctaw and the grand daughter of a Choctaw chief.
They had ten sons and two daughters, named John, William M., Levi, James Oliver, Joel Samuel, Judigh, Lewis, Sampson, Thomas, Tony, Elizabeth Isabel and Lucinda.

Levi Spring
Levi was born on February 8th, 1848 in Kiamitia, Hugo, Oklahoma.1 He died at the age of 54 on February 6th, 1903 in Hugo, Choctaw Co., Oklahoma.1
James Oliver Spring
James Oliver was born on October 7th, 1852.1 He died at the age of 36 on December 1st, 1888.1
