William J. Bassham 
William J. was born on April 12th, 1857 in Tennessee.1 William J.'s father was William F. Bassham and his mother was Dianah B. Hall. His paternal grandparents were William Basham and Sarah Unknown. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Leroy F., Isaac Newton, John W., James C., Henry D., Martha E., America Josephine and Malinda. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 25 on January 2nd, 1883 in Maury Co., Tennessee. He was buried in Edmund Fitzgerald Cem. on Knob Creek Road below Theta, Maury Co., Tennessee.1 1 General Notes
