Clyde Houston was born on May 22nd, 1907 in Hopkins Co., Texas.1 Clyde Houston's father was Williba Franklin Bassham and his mother was Georgia Ann Walker. His paternal grandparents were Solomon J. Bassham and Susan Jane Kennamer. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Solomon Frank, Leona Bell, George Allen, Williba 'Edgar', James Talmage (J T), Infant, Joe Bailey, Susie Isabella, Rosa Ava and Bonnie Pauline. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He had two half-brothers named Infant Daughter and John Dallas. He died at the age of 74 on May 19th, 1982 in Franklin Co., Texas.1 General Notes
