Virginia Mae (Virga) was born on March 24th, 1881 in Fairview, Dallas Co., Arkansas.1 Virginia Mae (Virga)'s father was John Pickens Basham and her mother was Mary Jane Brown. Her paternal grandparents were James Madison Basham and Mary Ann Johnston; her maternal grandparents are Robert S. Brown and Susan Adair. She had five brothers and a sister, named Franklin M., Thomas Arthur, William Edmond, Robert Matthew, John Moody and Susan Marguerite (Susie). She was the third youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 70 on October 23rd, 1951 in Hayward, Alameda Co., California.1 General Notes
