Thomas G. W. was born on December 23rd, 1867 in Kingston, Madison Co., Arkansas.1 Thomas G. W.'s father was John Bassham and his mother was Elizabeth Roper. His paternal grandparents were John Basham and Elizabeth Finley. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John William, Joseph E., Malissa Jane, Eliza Ellen Eveline and Josephine Elizabeth.
