Sallie B. was born on January 6th, 1888 in Delta Co., Texas.1 Sallie B.'s father was Jonathan Reed Basham and her mother was Nancy Jane Jenkins. Her paternal grandparents were Millender Basham and Chelnessee Payne. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Daniel Dave, Nathan Garfield, John William (Will), James Harvey, Charles Moman, Ezra Powell, Octavy F., Mary Alice and Nancy Jane (Ginnie). She was the second youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 49 on August 6th, 1937 in Cooper, Delta Co., Texas.1 General Notes
