Payton Basham 
Payton was born on December 15th, 1881 in Kentucky.1 Payton's father was Samuel Logan Basham and his mother was Mary Frances (Mollie) Wilson. His paternal grandparents were Allen Dowell Basham and Malinda DALTON. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Ivy Murray, Frances D, Alva Ray, Andrew Logan, Jesse James, Octava, Emily Bessie and Alma Rose. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had three half-brothers named William Allen, Charles Luther and Ernest Everette. He died at the age of 60 on June 10th, 1942 in Ohio Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
