Oscar Clair was born on February 5th, 1906 in Maceo, Daviess Co., Kentucky.1 Oscar Clair's father was Marion Adolphus Basham and his mother was Lillie Jane Crask. His paternal grandparents were James Henry Basham and Mary O. (Molly) Higgs. He had a brother and three sisters, named Walker Hayden, Ines, Mary Emma and Bertha 'Louise'. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Infant Child, Infant Child, Infant Child, Marion Adolphus, Jr., Hugh Triplett, Living, Clara Myrtle and Living. He died at the age of 75 on February 15th, 1981 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
