Oliver Basham 
Oliver was born on April 12th, 1820 in Tazewell Co., Virginia.1 Oliver's father was Jonathan Basham and his mother was Delilah Payne. His paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Basham and Francis Susanna Unknown; his maternal grandfather was James Payne and his maternal grandmother is Ruth Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Mahlon, Joseph P., Reece Calvin, James Oliver, Sr., Mary Jane (Polly), Delilah Louise and Elizabeth Ellen. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 44 on September 23rd, 1864 in Pilot Knob, Iron Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
