Mary (Polly) Basham 
Mary (Polly) was born about 1817 in Franklin Co., Virginia.1 Mary (Polly)'s father was William Loyd Basham and her mother was Ama Meador. Her paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Basham and Francis Susanna Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Jessee Meador and Lucy (Nancy?) Hix. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Lloyd, Meador, John, Pleasant, David, Rebecca, Rhoda and Margaret. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
