Martha Ann Elizabeth (Mattie) was born on August 15th, 1860 in Johnson Co., Arkansas.1 Martha Ann Elizabeth (Mattie)'s father was James Oliver, Sr. Basham and her mother was Lemira Jane Shelton. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Basham and Delilah Payne. She had four brothers and six sisters, named William Jonathan, James Oliver, Sara Jane, John Mahlon, Cora, Minnie B., Delilah 'Dilla' (Twin), Hannah (Twin), Julia Ellen and Josephine. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died about 1937 in Clarksville, Johnson Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
