Margaret Elizabeth Basham 
Margaret Elizabeth was born on February 26th, 1845 in Kentucky.1 Margaret Elizabeth's father was Samuel Wesley (Rev) Basham and her mother was Sally Davis Young. Her paternal grandparents were James Basham and Elizabeth DAVIS. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John Allen Davis, James Timothy Barkley, Mary Towsend, Martha Francis, Olivia Caroline, Laura Ann and Olivia Victoria. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had six half-brothers named Alexander Campbell (Eleck), Silas Hardin Hailey, Samuel McClain, Granville Simpson, William Henry and Heber Elliott.
