Margaret Basham 
Margaret was born about 1809 in Franklin Co., Virginia.1 Margaret's father was John, Jr. Basham and her mother was Frances (Franky) Meadors. Her paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Basham and Francis Susanna Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Jessee Meador and Lucy (Nancy?) Hix. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Elijah, Warner, Nathan, Millender, Jonathan, John, Whorley, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mildred Susan and Matilda. She was the second oldest of the twelve children. She died about 1872.1 General Notes
